Coolest Chick Ever Tag

Hello friends! This is Sandhya and I am back on the Unity Blog with my ‘Coolest Chick Ever Tag’ project. This tag features the Coolest Chick Ever and Chicken Wire Background stamp sets from Unity Stamp Company. I also want to take this opportunity to share with you about Unity’s first annual mega warehouse sale. Coolest Chick Ever Tag

For this tag, I started with a piece of Canson XL watercolor cardstock and created an ink-smooshed background using Distress Spray Stain (scattered straw) and Distress Oxide Spray (speckled egg). I made sure to leave enough white space for my cool chick and die cut a tag using Unity’s Make A Tag {die set}.

I stamped the cool chick in black Versafine Claire ink and the chicken wire around it with Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide. Next, I watercolored the chick using Altenew watercolor brush markers. I stamped the sentiment on the leftover piece of the background and trimmed it down. Then, I distressed the edges of the tag as well as the sentiment with Distress Oxides and popped on the sentiment with some foam tape. Finally, I stained some seam binding ribbon and added it to the tag. For the finishing touch, I added some splatters with white gouache and some leftover Lindy’s Magicals on my palette.
