Hello! It’s Noelle again, and this is the last week of the use your favorite Unity stamp contest!
I sure hope you have joined us! Even if you haven’t had time to stamp I hope you head over to the Unity Facebook Show &Tell group and look at all the beautiful cards for some inspiration! Click HERE for the album link.
OK, so here is my final favorite card!
The Funny Farm set cracks me up! Inside it says HELLO, from the funny farm. LOL I am going to make more of these cards. So easy and fun!
This is how I made it! The base has a piece of cardstock from Rustic Textiles. It’s plaid and has black splatter, the picture just doesn’t do it justice! I just took Unity’s picture right off the website! LOL See how cool it is? It is the top left piece and I love it!
I have a pack of burlap paper from Tim Holtz and DCWV! I’m not sure which pad this came from, it was already cut and in my scrap box. Don’t you love using up scraps? It is so satisfying! Justifies a little shopping don’t you think? LOL
Next, I stamped the animals and embossed them on a tag I cut out with the Make a Tag die set. I stamp with Versafine Clair and emboss with clear powder. The lid on the Nuvo makes me happy just looking at it! I usually don’t emboss on the envelope.
The burlap strings are from what I pulled out to fray the edges of the burlap! I also used it through the buttons. I collect vintage sewing baskets and I get the best buttons in them! My problem is, I store them in a giant fish bowl and I can spend an insane amount of time looking at all the buttons instead of just looking for 3 random brown buttons! I was on a roll to use up everything! My stamp/junk journaling/sewing room is out of control so I am trying to use up everything in sight and it is working. I just wish I would put stuff away instead of at a pile for myself or the cats to knock over LOL
Well, that’s it for this challenge! A huge THANK YOU to all that played along with me! I’ll be back on the 4th, which a new challenge and it’s a doozie! Buckle up! LOL 🙂
Have a fantastic week and thanks for stopping by!
