Fall Most of All Card Duo

Fall Cards | Just Stamping

The fun thing about today’s cards is that there no major technique involved other than good old stamping. However, I will share my tips to get a beautiful stamping effect with solid stamps on textured watercolor paper with good old stamping blocks. I started by stamping the line art outline and sentiment on 2 pieces of watercolor cardstock using Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and my Misti stamping tool. Next, I chose an autumnal color palette that is beyond the traditional yellows and reds. I went with the Altenew Jewel tone inks.

I inked up the solid stamps and then added a quick spritz of water before stamping on watercolor paper. This creates a little color variation and gives excellent coverage on the first pass. I love this technique for this style of stamps. Once I was done stamping, I added some gold and bronze accents and splatters using metallic watercolors.

Next, I distressed the edges of the main panel as well as the pattern papers I selected to mat the panel. I also found a burlap ribbon from my stash to add to the card. I assembled the cards on kraft card bases and added mini bulldog clips to finish my projects.
