Check out some winter card inspiration on the Unity Blog today. I made a cheerful holiday card paired with an Artist Trading card (ATC) in holiday colors. The two main stamp sets I am using for today’s project are Making Spirits Bright and Winter Birdie Swag.
Holiday Card
These cards are super easy to make because the stamps are super adorable and coloring them is all it takes to create a focal point. So I started by stamping the images on watercolor paper and used Distress Mica Stains as my medium to watercolor my images.
You could use any watercolor medium, but I used the mica stains because the shimmery finish adds a very festive touch to the cards. And that’s the look I was hoping to achieve for this project.
Once I was done with my coloring, I die-cut the panels using postal stamp dies from my stash. Then, I cut mats out of red cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the birdie set on a little strip and added it to complete the ATC.
For the card, I added some stamping with white pigment ink to the red mat before adhering the panel. There isn’t much of it visible, but I love that look and will soon make a card to show you how it looks. Anyways, I stamped a sentiment and completed the A2 card.
