I am back on the Unity Blog for my weekly dose of Unity Inspiration. Today, I am sharing a holiday card and tag set featuring the October Background of the Month – Santa Express! I also used the Cheerful Prancing {october 2017 sentiment kit} , Winter Wonderland Walk and Say It Big Holiday {coordinating die set} for adding to my holiday set.
I started by stamping the background on smooth laser printer paper. Then I used Distress inks and a gelli plate to pull a print over the stamped background. This formed the main panel for my card.
I then noticed a faint impression of the stamp design left on the gelli print. So I added some acrylic paint over it and pulled another print. I fell in love with the soft ghostly image from this print and cut out a tag from this paper.
Next, I die-cut the card panel and added the die-cut word and a dark blue mat. I adhered it all to an A2 card base and added a piece of ribbon and sequins to finish the card.
For the tag, I stamped a deer from the Cheerful Prancing {october 2017 sentiment kit} as well as a sentiment and snowflake from the Winter Wonderland Walk stamp set. Finally I distressed the edges, and added soem twine to complete the tag.
