Hello, Gaylynn here. Today, I am sharing a slimline holiday card using watercolor distress ink reinkers. This provides a background for the holiday icons.
This is a messy project but really fun to do. Use the water-soluble inks that you have on hand or reinker bottles.
Sentiment: Hello Winter.
For this card, I am including a quick tip video tutorial for the process.
Helpful tips:
In summary, these are helpful tips to create using watercolor distress ink reinkers. To begin, pre-cut and score a full size slimline card base and also a card front made from watercolor cardstock. Next, stamp onto kraft color cardstock and die-cut or punch out the circle icons. Then, add color from a drop of distress ink re-inker mixed with water using ink smooshing onto the card front panel. Do this for at least two colors and mist with water to blend out the color. Once dry, layer and assemble the card, to finish.
Additionally, to coordinate with the dies that I used, here are my project dimensions:
Slimline card base cut 9″ x 8″, score 4″.
Slimline card front cut approximately 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.
Here is another look.
