Hello friends! Sandhya here, and today I am sharing a mixed media card and tag set featuring the November KOM. The vintage images in the November Kit of the Month are beautiful and will make so many wonderful holiday cards. Let’s take a look at what I came up with.
November KOM Projects
First, I stamped the 2 main focal images on a sheet of pattern paper from my stash. I colored over them with Copic markers. I trimmed the cocoa cup with the deckled edge trimmer and distressed around the edges with Distress ink.
I die cut a tag out of the same pattern paper and stamped the sentiment on it. For the background, I used the Tim Holtz Tree Ring 3D embossing folder from Sizzix. I embossed and inked over kraft cardstock and also heat embossed over it with Distress embossing glaze.
Finally, I added more distressing and embellishments and assembled the card. I also added some glossy accents topped with rock candy glitter over the marshmallows and the snowflake on the mug.
For the truck, I directly die-cut it out using a tag die. Once again, I inked around it and added crackle paste for a more grungy look. I made a smaller tag with a piece of embossed cardstock for the sentiment. I also 3D embossed the sentiment strip with the woodgrain folder. Then I stamped on a piece of scrap cardstock with the Tattered Grid Background stamp and added it for some layering. I tied the tags together with velvet ribbon.
Once again, I added little details and embellishments to complete my tag. I also popped on the little holly from the 2020 Advent Calendar. Pssst….. the 2022 Advent Calendar is about to drop later this week and it is ADORABLE!!! Be sure to stay tuned and add to your cart as it will be in limited quantities only.
Thank You
