I am sharing how I made a vintage blooms card on the Unity Blog today. The gorgeous new Dreamin’ Daze stamp set illustrated by Angie Blom just dropped at Unity Stamp Company. Check out this awesome stamp set, several new releases, and the biggest sale of the year at Unity Stamp Company .
I started by stamping the blooms on Fabriano hot-pressed watercolor paper with VersafineClaire Nocturne ink. Next, I watercolored it using Viviva Colorsheets. These are highly pigmented watercolors coated on sheets of paper and are super fun and easy to use.
Once I was done coloring, I trimmed it to a square using a deckled edge trimmer. I ink blended with Distress Inks (Walnut Stain and ground Expresso) and distressed the edges with the blade of my scissors. I matted it with some music sheet pattern paper and added an eyelet using my Crop-a-Dile. Next, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a tag die and added some ink blending to it.
Next, I attached the sentiment tag to the main panel using some jute twine and a pin. I also added few brass jingle bells for fun. Finally, I inked up a square card base with Antique linen and Walnut stain Distress inks and added stamping details to it. I used the scripty stamps from the Soul Mail set for the background stamping. A few splatters with water and my base was ready to attach my colored panel for a completed vintage blooms card.
