Clean and Simple: Getting Cozy

December 2, 2022 - by Julissa Sargo

Clean and Simple: Getting Cozy

Happy Friday!  It’s Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules back on the blog sharing some clean and simple ideas featuring the new December 2022 Whit-Kit: Getting Cozy.  These images are delicate and can work for all seasons.

Don’t you love when you can make a meaningful card in just minutes?  I simply die cut a piece of Bristol smooth card stock and stamp these three stamps as desired using a hybrid ink like Ink on 3 Blackout Hybrid Detail ink. Next, using Copic markers or watercolors, I colored the birds only.  I chose to color one bird red like a cardinal.

If you used watercolor, make sure the ink is dry before you use Distress ink to blend the one corner.  This gives the appearance of a soft sky blending into the white background.  Once dry, try my (pretty risky) stamping trick and place the piece back in your stamping tool and restamp using VersaFine or VersaFine Clair to make that black in even more bold!

This card was the same technique, but using two other stamps from this new Whit-Kit.  Again, I colored one bird red and colored the cute ornaments red as well to keep the same color themes. This clean and simple technique allows for fast and easy cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration in this idea and in the new Whit-Kit.  This month is the last month to subscribe for any of the membership kits before pricing goes up (just a smidge).

Oh… and did you know there are membership perks?! Yep… check it out!

So, if you’re looking to treat yourself or ask a loved one to give you the gift that keeps on giving… consider subscribing to one (or more) of these amazing memberships…
