Skiing fun, January Winter Color Challenge
Happy Thursday crafters. Echo here from Stamp N Ground. I am hosting the January winter Color Challenge over on the Unity Show N Tell Facebook group. Today I am sharing a card I made using three different kits. The trees are from Happy and Cozy, the snowman is from A Frosty Christmas, and the sentiment is from Whit’s Words. We are taking my daughter skiing for the first time this weekend. So, I had to reach for this adorable snowman kit.
Here is our color inspiration for this cozy winter color challenge.
Ohh, how I love how all three stamp kits went together perfectly!
I started by stamping the trees from Happy and Cozy in the left corner of an A2 card panel with black Copic friendly ink. Memento in tuxedo black.
I then ink blended with distress inks. First I used mustard seed around the trees and then I did hickory smoke around the edges. Die cut a hillside and ink blended it with broken china.
Stamped the snowman from A Frosty Christmas, with Copic friendly black ink. Then color with Copic markers and fussy cut.
I used a fine sanding paper to sand the top edges of the card panel to give it a weathered look. Distressed the edges with some scissors. Pop upped the snowman with foam tape. Stamped the sentiment from Whit’s Words with distress oxide in broken china.
I hope you join the January winter color challenge. Remember these challenges are meant to inspire not require. Let’s have some fun and stamp out something cozy.
Monthly challenges are easy to enter. Simply add you card or project to the January winter color challenge album in the Unity Show N Tell Facebook group for your chance to win a Unity gift certificate.
