Blooming Tuesday

February 28, 2023 - by Maria Levine

Blooming Tuesday

Happy Tuesday and end of February!  Maria here with your Tuesday inspiration. I can’t believe we are about to begin March, where does the time go?

Today I wanted to share with you a few different ways to use one image and one sentiment set. I just love this month’s background of the month called assorted blooms. It’s so perfect for Springtime and such a versatile set. I decided to pair my creations with the newest birthday sentiments called Snarky Birthday Greetings.

First let’s check out these awesome sets:

I created four different cards to show you how easy it is to do using just one stamp and one sentiment kit.

To start I stamped and colored a few of the backgrounds.  For this first one card I took one that I colored and cut it into a few strips.  I embossed the background  using Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug then just adhered the strips on the card.  Stamped and mounted a sentiment and used foam tape to adhere the sentiment panel.  The fun embellishments are enamel dots that I picked up from Michael’s.

For this second card I wanted to use the spotlighting technique.  While I realize I didn’t put the hearts  on in perfect coordination with the base image I think this still works pretty well.  I used the Unity Heart Dies and adhered them with foam tape.  In the middle of a few of the flowers I used Nuvo glitter glue.

This one is a basic card using one of the backgrounds I colored which I cut with a background die.  I added the sentiment and some grosgrain ribbon along with faux gems.  Super simple but  perfectly elegant.  Sometimes simplicity is the best.

Finally for this version I used the Unity tag die set to cut a tag out and use that on my card.  I found some old orange twine in my stash with works great wrapped around the tag.  A little secret trick to keep the twine on is to wrap it around the tag and scotch tape the ends to the back of the tag.  It always stays just fine that way, then adhere the tag down.

I hope you find some inspiration with these 4 cards. You don’t need tons of different stamps to create many different cards which is great especially if you are just getting started with stamping. Soon enough you will have tons of stamps! LOLOL!

I look forward to seeing what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!

Till next time!!!
