Front and Center Card Making – thinking of you bird

Front and Center Card Making – thinking of you bird

Hello, it’s Gaylynn.  For today, I am sharing front and center card making with a thinking of you theme.  This step-by-step process incorporates stamping on the inside and outside of the greeting card.

I love the combination options using the front and center card making stamp sets, especially for inside sayings in cards.  However, almost any stamps that you have on hand can be incorporated inside or outside of your greeting cards.

Sentiment:

Front:  You’re in my thoughts today.
Inside:  I would have just texted you, but I wanted to make a card.

Once finished, this shows the outside of the card.

Now, here is the inside of the card which includes a sentiment.

Helpful tips:

In summary, here are helpful tips for front and center card making.  To begin, prepare an A2 sized card base.  Then, onto white card stock, stamp the sentiments and the bird using alcohol-friendly ink or ink for use with your markers of choice.  Side note, be sure to leave room to trim or die-cut the sections needed to be used on your card.  Also, color in the stamping.  Next, trim or die-cut the bird into a circle shape, the front sentiment strip and the inside card sentiment panel.  Optional, die-cut or trim a frame layer for the bird and the inside panel using color card stock.  Additionally, for the background, lightly stencil a pattern onto the card front using ink blending.  Finally, adhere all of the layers for the front and for the inside of the card base, to finish.

Additionally, process photos and steps follow.

First:  Do all of the stamping at once onto a large piece of cardstock, if possible.  I used a stamp positioning tool, Misti.

Second:  Color in your stamped image.

Third:  Trim or die-cut the circle and rectangle layers.
Fourth:  Add stencil accents to the card front.
Fifth:  Layer it all inside and out.

For more cuteness, this is the stamp set used, linked below.
