The Details

I’m going with my clean and simple roots today. This hot air balloon was begging to be colored up with some Copics and I couldn’t say no. I didn’t have a plan so I picked some colors that made me happy. We have quite a few hot air balloons that take flight near us and one of them is blue & yellow. It is a very happy combo so I went with that. I’ll list my Copic colors in case you were curious.

Copic Colors Balloon: BG01, BG05, BG07; Y00, Y02, Y11, Y21 Leaves & Flowers: YG13, YG17; Y18 Shadow & Highlight: N1, white paint pen

Once I was done coloring, I thought, “Now what do I do with it?” That balloon is so dang pretty that I decided to go with a clean and simple layout. I grabbed my scissors and fussy cut it out. Found some washi tape that coordinated with the balloon colors and laid a few strips down. Popped that balloon up with foam adhesive and added a few gold sequins for some movement and shine.
