Hi friends! Welcome to Tuesdays Thoughts with Bobbie Sue where I come to you the 3rd Tuesday of every month sharing what inspired my recent makes.
As I was going through my stamps, to prepare for our upcoming move, I was inspired by the background stamps I came across.
Recently, I saw a card created by Martin at Martins Mayhem where he colored in around his image before cutting it out. Igniting an idea to do this with a few of my background stamps!
To do this, I simply took my wet brush to ink applied on my glass mat and moved it around every negative detail of the image. In love with this look!!
This first card uses the gorgeous Floriated Background by Lisa Arana.
Here I used Distress inks on Canson XL – Aged Mahogany, Iced Spruce, and Spun sugar and, an olive Zig Brushpen.
Don’t you just love the look using Iced Spruce to completely color the negative space of this stamp. As always, the colors are so much more beautiful in person!
Oh how I love this next card using the Peaceful Unity background.
Here I watercolored with Stampin Write Brushpens on Canson XL.
Both sentiments are cut from Unity’s preprinted cut apart sentiment strips. If you have not purchased these sheets, I encourage you to!
I hope you take the time to visit all of the background stamps Unity has to offer. Excited to see you use the idea to color completely around your image!
Please, share your makes with me using your bg stamps by tagging me in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook page.
I would love for you to follow my card making journey here on my Facebook and here on my Instagram.
As always, I enjoy my time here and thank you for joining me.
Until next time, I look forward to more Tuesdays Thoughts. Right here, next month.
Blessings,
Bobbie Sue
