Welcome to the May challenge of the month on the Unity Blog – Floral and Watercolor. This week is super special as we are celebrating Unity’s 15th birthday and there’s an amazing new release + awesome sales at Unity Stamp Company. I chose to watercolor a new arrival stamp called Bittersweet Graduation designed by our very own Angie Blom for today’s card.

Floral and Watercolor – Grad Card
I started by stamping the gorgeous graduation hat and floral image on Fabriano Hot pressed watercolor paper. This is a smooth watercolor paper and one of my favorites for stamping.

Next, I mixed a few different watercolors from my stash to paint the image. I used metallic gold watercolor to add splatters and gold details to the tassel. Then I die-cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die.

Finally, I did an ombre effect ink blending with Distress Oxides on a white card base before adhering the card panel to it. Ta-da! An easy single-layer card is ready to go!
Thank You
