Hi friends, Gaylynn here. Sometimes you want a different look for different occasions. Today, I am showing how to make a rustic background with softness. I show two examples.
These projects are also part of the Unity Stamp Company and Brutus Monroe Instagram hop starting 6.7.23. See me there @neatnook for more details..
Sometimes you want a different look for different occasions. Try using a stamp in a different way, changing colors or techniques for all kinds of looks.
My first card was made using a wrinkle stamped background with a tone on tone look.
Sentiment: Always thinking of you.
To make this card with a wrinkle rustic background with softness, begin by preparing a white A2 sized card base. Then, using a stamp positioning tool, stamp onto color cardstock with darker ink in the same color family. Next, stamp the flower and the sentiment and color in the flower. Then, trim or die-cut the background, the flower and the sentiment. Also, tie twine around the background panel as an accent. Finally, Layer it all onto the card base, to finish.

Next up is a sweet baby themed card using a wood pile background.
Sentiment: Hi there cutie.
This is how to make another card theme using a rustic background with softness. This time, stamp the background using two shades of purple onto pink or pastel cardstock. I like to stamp two or three times to get a better stamp impression. Also, stamp the giraffe and sentiment. Then, die-cut or trim that stamp layer and an accent background mesh pattern. Next, color in the giraffe and trim or die-cut all of the pieces. Finally, layer it all to finish.
