Hello Unies,
I keep seeing everyone’s summer reading posts on social media, and a light bulb went off. How can we squeeze in some crafty time, be productive and maybe have a gift to send to the book lover in our life. Well, I am here to tell you that these Book marks are perfect, not only are they quick and super easy, but super fun!
For this first sample your gonna want to take the largest scallop sentiment die from the Scallop & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. This is absolutely the perfect size for this fun project. taking Saltwater Taffy distress oxide spray and just quickly spraying the paper (I used bristol smooth it’s a bit thicker and takes water well) to add some contrast hit the tag with a dash of Peppermint stick distress mica spray (not just for Christmas) simple coloring for the butterfly from Angie Bloms new set Paper Wings to keep with the Wings and Things challenge theme. punch a hole add some fiber and attached my sentiment. embellishing with enamel dots. Now, you can’t get easier than that!
For this next one, I grabbed the smaller die from Deckle and Stitched nesting dies, Doing the same as stated above but with abandoned coral and old paper distress inks instead of prays, again simple quick coloring of another butterfly from Paper Wings. This time for that added sparkle I used wicked elixir mica stain. The mica stains give such amazing shimmer and they are not just for the holidays.
Lastly, I simple took a scrap piece from the projects above and embossed the clouds from Clouded by cuteness. Quickly colored with Mermaid lagoon oxide ink. Added the words and a piece of washi. You can’t get faster than that.
Summer time is busy, and I want you all to keep that creative mind working by doing simple fun and quick projects, of course keeping within the Wings and Things Challenge theme makes it just a tiny bit more fun!
If you play along please add your creation to the Wings and Things album over on the Unity Show N Tell page!
As always Happy Crafting,
Dawn Bryson
