Hello! It’s Noelle posting today, and I am so excited! I am glad you are here!
I don’t know about y’all, but I feel like my background stamps are not getting enough love! So I decided to use them to make my own pattern paper. That led to my Gina Marie quilt dies! I am a stamper first, a quilter second! Combining the two was very fun!
I grabbed Grandma’s Apron, Baby Boy Plaid and Just Polka Dots!
I got busy stamping with Versafine in my Misti and embossing with clear powder! I seriously wish I could find a job watching embossing powder melt! I stamped and embossed enough to make 12 cards. Here is where you need to learn from my mistake, LOL! I think it would be best to skip the embossing. I know! That is against everything I believe in. When I ran the paper through the die cutting machine, the embossing powder was flaking off. It is not the end of the world, but had I just embossed one and then cut I would have skipped the embossing.
I cut scrap paper to the same size of the frame and covered it in adhesive. See the cat hair? LOL If you rip my cards apart you will likely find a cat hair! I loved putting all the pieces of my pattern paper into these dies. Like building a puzzle!
Here, they are ready to turn into cards! I haven’t made them all yet, as usual I always think I can work faster than I really can!
This card uses Baby Boy Plaid and Sew Cute!
This one is Just Polka Dots and Sew Cute again!
This one is Grandma’s Apron and also Sew Cute!
This one uses Just Polka Dots again and Stitched With Love!
I think these are so fun and colorful! I will make up the rest and give them as gift card sets.
Any coloring I did, I used Copic markers from my DT sister Dawn, and I loved every bit of that too!
For the backs, I used sentiments from Stitched With Love, the hand made love [heart] is my favorite!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I sure hope this inspires you guys to make your own pattern paper! Or at least use those background stamps!
