Hi friends! I love when it starts to feel and smell like fall weather outside, so today I wanted to share a fall card with you! I’ll be using October’s Background of the Month, called Woodgrain Whisper, as well as October’s Uniquely Unity stamp and the Pollinator’s Nostalgia paper and ephemera.
First, I stamped the Woodgrain Whisper in black ink and then swiped my distress oxide inks over it in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. The combination of colors helped to add dimension to the stamp, but this stamp doesn’t need much help because it’s sooooo detailed. If you look closely, there is print in it as well!!! I love it! Next, I trimmed the card panel with my deckled paper trimmer and adhered it to a black 5.5×4.25 card base.
I wanted to place a floral image over the background, so I colored October’s Uniquely Unity floral bouquet, which is GORGEOUS, and then fussy cut it out. I didn’t want the flowers to be overcome by the background, so I grabbed a few pieces of ephemera from the Pollinator’s Nostalgia to tuck in behind the flowers. This paper and ephemera pack is AWESOME for adding bits of detail to your cards!!!
Last step was placement of my flowers. Before adhering, I placed the flowers where I wanted them and then placed the ephemera behind it until I was satisfied, and then I glued everything down. I finished with Glossy Accents over the flowers, the sentiment from the Uniquely Unity kit, and then gold pearls for a little shine!
