Welcome to week 2 of November’s Card Challenge!

November 9, 2023 - by Noelle Reese

Welcome to week 2 of November’s Card Challenge!

Hi Peeps!  Noelle again!  How are you?

Let’s get right into it OK?  This month is Slimline and Shapes, and today I picked Grand Labels Four by Spellbinders for my card shape!  These dies are huge and I thought I better use a 5 x 7 envelope as my size guide and I am glad I did because I was going to go a size bigger!

I scored a 12 x 12 natural confetti piece of cardstock in half and folded it and  scored the edge.

I taped the die down on the paper just so it hung off the edge.

See, I hardly missed any of the design.

I cut another one in a nice fall print to cover the whole front so that you couldn’t see the edge that I cut off.

And a couple of layers of course!

I grabbed my October Whit Kit, the burlap stencil is fantastic and the Tsukineko’s Champagne ink pad is beautiful!  This picture does not do it justice!  If you aren’t signed up for the Whit Kit, I highly suggest you ask for this subscription for Christmas!  It is the best gift EVER and getting it every month is so much fun!

I took one for the team here LOL  Don’t use pattern paper with skulls on the back of it.  It shows on that tiny edge LOL  That orange fallish paper is actually Halloween paper!  I didn’t notice this until I was all done and tucking it in the envelope flap!

I stamped the beautiful pumpkins from Harvest of Gratitude, on vellum.  I love these pumpkins!  I used a sentiment strip from the September Whit Kit and added a few sequins.  I flipped it over and put glue dots in the exact same spot on the back side.  That is the easiest way to hide your adhesive when using vellum.  It’s definitely random spots, but it works!

Making cards is all fun and games until you try to take pictures!  You can’t see the ink with the card flat.  I don’t know if it is the vellum, the ink from the pumpkins, the ink from the champagne stenciling or my above average photography skills.  LOL

Stand it up, and there are the pumpkins!  But the beautiful champagne ink that is so sparkly looks like white milk.  I can’t make sense of it!  I don’t have a clue why my lovely Unity Peeps keep me around, but I am sure glad they do <3

I sure hope you will head on over to our Show and Tell FaceBook page and join us in this challenge!  We are giving away Unity gift cards as prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
