Hello there! It’s another week of a Slimline or Shapes!
This card, is short, sweet and mostly SUPER quick! Back in 2020 during quarantine my sister and I decided to watch Junk Journaling videos on YouTube and buy all the things of course! Well someone linked us up to these book page dies on Amazon. I think there are 9 different sizes. I got the straight edge and the deckle edge and when they arrived we were already coffee dying everything is sight and making our own pages out of all the different papers we could get our hands on. Turns out, we have ZERO interest in these dies for junk journaling. They are too perfect and we are both very messy junk journalers. So these things have been living here rent free and unused all this time. I am really challenging myself to use all my things or get them out of here! Turns out, they make a great card I think! The card even stands up! At first I wasn’t sure I liked the straight edge on the left for the layer but it’s growing on me LOL
At first, I wrapped the smaller layer on the outside and on the back too. That paper is from Kaiser Craft’s Pen & Ink 12×12 paper pad. I just scored them both and went with it. But then I decided to cut the smaller layer in half and use it like a layer. Don’t you love that about this hobby? We can do any thing we want o and we can change our mind any time we feel like it!
I inked all the edges and fired up the Misti because with that wavy edge and the GIGANTIC Christy Tomlinson stamp Through the Changes I was going to need some extra help lining things up! LOL
Easy as can be! I used VersaFine Clair in Fallen Leaves and embossed it in clear.
I threw on some flat back pearls from the October 2020 Whit Kit and it’s done like dinner! Clean up took longer than the card! They all don’t have to take hours! And don’t be afraid to use something old from your stash! We loved it when we bought it, so let’s use it and get it out of here! Now, when it comes to Unity, I will not ever part with a single stamp. I don’t know what my kids will do with them when I am gone but *I* do not have to worry about that! LOL With that being said, when Ang brought back Christy’s stamps I was so excited to already have so many of them in my stash! Do you have any? Did you order some? They are so fantastic! They are so perfect for junk journaling too! You will see a lot of them coming from me in the future!
