Happy Thanksgiving if you are in the US and celebrate! If not, Happy Thursday!
Today’s ‘card’ started off as a tag card that was going to open from both sides. You know, slap some washi on it and have it open right up. Only washi is a poor excuse for tape! LOL Well, let’s just get into it, I’ll show you what happened!
I started off with the Make a Tag dies, the Golden Autumn Whispers paper pack from the 9/23 Whit Kit and some scrap card stock and got busy cutting.
I grabbed some fall washi and got to taping the tags together. Well I always wonder why they call it washi tape, it isn’t very sticky and it kept falling apart! So then I had better idea! It’s my ‘card’ I can do what I want to right?
I thought, let’s make it double sided and it will stand up in the middle of the table for Thanksgiving dinner!
That extra weight made it fall apart even more LOL I don’t know why I thought not closing it would fix the problem LOL Washi is not sticky! So I showed it who is boss with my tiny attacher! She’s sturdy now! I stapled every bit of it together!
Do you have the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies yet? They are so awesome! I also really loved using so many Itty Bitty’s on this! This is Gobble Gobble! I totally forgot to color the turkey! But that could be a fun ice breaker. We might have a kiddo come for dinner so I will let them color it!
My Sweet Mama has always had a strict NO TV on during ANY dinner and certainly not a holiday! Until my cute husband started coming around 28 years ago! He kept it on mute and just checked the score occasionally and she agreed. And for the record, she usually took his side when we argue too! He just marched right in and wrapped her right around his finger! He would come in singing ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? She loved every bit of it!
I just picked stamps that related to us and our Thanksgiving dinner! With all the Itty Bitty’s Unity has there is for sure many for every occasion!
