Hello Crafty Friends, I am excited to be back for a new week sharing inspiration using the beautiful Butterfly Breeze Meadow! I wanted to share this background stamp this week with you for Mixed Media Thursday! The details in this stamp are amazing and they add so much depth to your card panel and it is a dream to color! So let’s get started!
I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I inked blended around the edges of the panel using Distress Oxides in: Antique Linen, Pumice Stone, Wild Honey, and Vintage Photo. I allowed the panel to completely dry, I then prepped the panel with my embossing buddy and stamped the beautiful background Butterfly Breeze Meadow in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. I then heat embossed the background using clear embossing powder. Next I colored the background using my Tombow markers. I work in layers coloring 1 layer at a time, allowing the color to dry, then add another layer of color. I follow these steps until all of the florals are colored.
Next I trimmed the panel using my Deckle Edge trimmer, I then distressed the edges with my distress tool and darkened the edges with Distress Ink in Ground Espresso. I then added splatters using a combination of metallic watercolors and allowed the panel to dry completely. I then chose a sentiment from Happy Birthday Gnome and stamped the sentiment using Pitch Black Ink. I trimmed the sentiment using my scissors. I completed the card by distressing the edges with embossing glaze in Salvage Patina. I then adhered the sentiments, as well as a few sequins to complete my card!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I wanted to share a fun and relaxing way to create a 1 layer mixed media card today! Have a great week and I will be back soon with more crafty inspiration!

Natasha
