Hi there! Maria here with your Tuesday fun project. I know it’s the end of February but I figured you can share love themed projects anytime right?
I purchased 3 raw wood hearts from Target a while ago and was excited to paint and alter them for Valentine’s Day! I like to decorate a bit for each holiday/season and thought these would be a great fun addition.
This is the set I purchased. I just used the wood hearts and not the paint that was included.
First I used gesso on all 3 wood hearts to create that primed area. Then once dry I applied about 2 layers of red acrylic paint. The stamping was done using Versafine Clair in Nocturne (black) ink. I definitively let that dry for a while so not to smudge the black ink. The “LOVE” on the middle heart is actually a wood laser cut out that I painted black and glued on. Once all the paint was dried and cured I added a layer of Deco Art Varnish to create a lovely shine on all the pieces.
The first 2 hearts I used the Muddy Paws Background stamp. The dots along the edges are from using a black posca pen. I used a basic clear drying tacky glue to adhere the Love wood sentiment.
This third heard is using the kit called Loved by a Dog.
This is the glue and sealer that I used for this fun project:
I hope you find something inspiring with this fun and quick project. While I love making cards I also love to use all my stamps to create fun projects especially home decor ones!
Thanks for stopping by!! Till next time!
