Hi friends!
I just wanted to say that you are wonderful! Each month you come visit us here on the blog to get inspired, and I’m so grateful for every one of you! My card today is one of gratitude, a colorful beauty using February’s Kit of the Month and patterned paper called Eternal Midnight Weave! This is a Halloween themed paper, but there are several patterns that could be used year-round!
Starting with the fairy image (or it could be an angel!), I stamped her onto white cardstock using permanent black ink. Then I googled fairies so that I could get an idea for the color scheme. Once I found one that I liked, I colored her with my Copic markers using R85, R81, R83, V06, BV34, and RV09 for the flowers. Then I ink blended around her in shades of purple using Gina K Designs dye inks. I finished her wings and flowers in her hair with Gelly Roll pen in gold. Then I die cut her using an oval nesting die and set her aside to work on the background.
For the background, I grabbed two patterns from the Eternal Midnight Weave paper set. I used the striped one as a 5.5×4.25 panel and then trimmed the black pattern and adhered it over the striped one. Then I adhered the fairy over the background and finished with a sentiment using Cutapart Sentiment Strips.
