Hello Crafty Friends, It is Natasha here and I am excited to be back with a new Mixed Media Thursday! Today I am sharing an idea to create colorful, 1 layer ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). So let’s get started!
I started with a piece of hot press water color paper and Distress Mica Stains. I added the color to my paper, working one layer at a time. I add the color, spritz with water, dry with my heat tool, add water droplets, then pick up the color with a towel. I repeat with all the colors. Once this is complete, I set the panel aside to completely dry.
Next I trimmed my panel into 2 ATC’s using a die. I then stamped the floral images onto my 2 die cut panels. I heat embossed the floral images using white embossing powder. I repeated this process several times using the floral stem from the Paper Wings stamp set.
Next I added texture to the background with a stamp from the Antique Poppy stamp set. I randomly stamped across the backgrounds using a dye ink. I then created a piece of ephemera using the Magical Motif set. I encourage you to create and stamp your own ephemera using sets within your collection.
I completed the ATC’s by adding the ephemera to the ATC panel, as well as using a sentiment strip. Have a good week! I hope this inspires you to look through your collection to create a colorful ATC!
