Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a card created using April’s Background of the Month! This was such a fun background design to color, so I grabbed my Copic markers and had some fun! To shop the Background of the Month subscription, click here.
First, I stamped the background with permanent black ink onto a white card panel. I use permanent black ink so that the alcohol markers won’t cause the black ink to bleed. Next, I grabbed my Copics in the rainbow shades and went to town, coloring each and every house! It really didn’t take as long as you might think as I kept the coloring very simple. If you want, you could watercolor these as well! Simply stamp the design onto watercolor paper!
Once the coloring was complete, I die cut through the middle of the card panel, along with a slightly larger piece of black cardstock. Then, I adhered the outer piece of the colored panel onto a white 5.5×4.25 card base. I adhered the center of the panel over the larger black panel, and then adhered both over the outer piece, being sure to line up the houses! This is an easy technique that adds an element of detail to bring your cards to the next level! I finished with a sentiment from Anything is Possible.
I’m so glad you stopped by today!
