Hi friends! I’m sharing a unique Mother’s Day card that is grungy and fun! I’ll be using Snarky Mama stamp set and Grit & Grace patterned paper!
I stamped the image from Snarky Mama onto white cardstock using black permanent ink. Then I colored it with Copic markers and went around the flower lightly with brown ink. I trimmed the image along with a piece of black cardstock slightly larger. I added darker shades of brown ink around the edges of the flower to frame it and then adhered it over the piece of black cardstock.
Next, I worked on the background. Using 2 sheets of paper from Grit & Grace paper pack, I cut both down to 5.5×4.25 and adhered one piece to a white card base. The nice thing about this paper pack is that the papers are coordinated for us, so any sheets will work well together!
I took the more colorful piece, tore it in half at an angle, inked the torn edge with black ink, and adhered it over the other piece. Then I went around the entire edge of the card with more black ink. I think that the black ink really helps to create sharp lines! The last step was to adhere the floral piece over the background and add the sentiment, which was also inked in black around the edges. Below is a closer image of the Snarky Mama stamp (it comes with a lot of cute sentiments!)
This card was grungy, but I love it! And I think my mom will like it as well! It’s very easy to get that grungy look with Unity’s gorgeous, patterned paper and a little creativity! Thanks for stopping by today! To shop the products used for this card, click on the description to reach the shop.
