Hello Unity Friends, it is Natasha back for some more Mixed Media fun!!! Today I am sharing 2 simple Artist Trading Cards! I love creating these cards, as I love the size of them and they are fun to share with friends too! So let’s get started!
For today’s project I started with the So Mushroom stamp set! I love the sweet butterflies, moths, and mushrooms in this set! This set was the inspiration for today’s project. Once I chose the stamp set, I looked through my stash of premade backgrounds and chose an embossing folder background I had used on my gelli plate. Next I die cut the panel into 2 ATC size pieces (2.5 x 3.5). I used my paper trimmer for this step, then rounded each corner using my corner punch.
Next I distressed each of the backgrounds using both Distress Ink, as well as embossing glaze. I then added gold splatters to each ATC and set them aside. I then stamped both the butterfly and the moth from the So Mushroom stamp set onto a piece of left over gelli print. I then die cut these using dies in my stash and distressed the edges with ink.
I then chose 2 pieces of ephemera, some cheesecloth, as well as stamped the Thoughts from the past onto white collage paper. I then tore the collage paper with my fingers for a textured finished. I then layered all the elements together onto the ATC’s using liquid glue. I chose the sentiment from the So Mushroom set to complete each ATC.
I had a lot of fun putting these projects together! I will be back soon with more inspiration!
Natasha
