Happiness Blooms from Within

Happiness Blooms from Within

HI friends!

I love to color, but sometimes I like to keep the coloring simple, and Unity stamps allows me to keep the coloring to a minimum because their stamps are SOOOO detailed! So, if you like to color but aren’t a pro at it, these stamps are for you!

Today I’m going to share a simple summery card requiring basic coloring. I’ll be using Bloom from Within stamp and Gosh I Love You paper pad!

I love this stamp for its simplicity. The design is so detailed that there isn’t much needed to add to its beauty! I stamped the floral containers from Bloom from Within in a permanent black ink. I use permanent black ink when I plan to color with alcohol markers because the ink won’t bleed. Before coloring, I needed color inspiration, so I googled potted plants and found a lovely trio in shades of yellow, red, and teal. I decided to duplicate that with my coloring!

I only used 2 markers for each color for the pots. For the teal pot, I used BG13 and BG49. For the red pot, R29 and R24. For the yellow pot, Y11 and Y19. For the leaves, I used V06 & V09, Y15, G17 and G02. Then I added shading beneath the plants using E08, E09, E33, E35. Finally, I used dye ink beneath the brown shading and blue ink above the plants to look like the sky and earth. Like I said earlier, this was EASY coloring!

Finally, I die cut the colored panel along with a piece of black cardstock slightly larger and adhered the layers together. Then I grabbed a piece of patterned paper from Gosh I Love You paper pad and adhered the panel over the patterned paper.

I enjoy keeping it simple with my coloring and find that it works out much better than fussing over every little thing! Thanks for stopping by! To shop the products used in this post, click on the description to be taken to the Unity store!
