I’m so happy that it’s summertime with the warm sun, green grass, hot dogs and watermelon! Speaking of which, today I want to share a card that reminds me of summer! I’m using June’s Kit of the Month, called Whisper of Summer stamp, along with Country Lovin paper pad!
I love design images that include fruit, and I don’t know why! It just makes me feel happy to see fruit on my card! Anyhoo, I stamped the image from Whispers of Summer onto a piece of white cardstock and then colored it with my Copic markers. Then I die cut it with a circle die, along with one slightly larger in black. I adhered both layers together and set it aside to work on the background. Below is a closer look at the design!
Next, I chose a piece of yellow patterned paper from Country Lovin paper pad, trimmed it to 3.75×5.0, along with a piece of black cardstock sized 4.0×5.25. I adhered these layers together and then added them to a 5.5×4.25 white card base. Then I adhered the Whispers of Summer stamp over the yellow panel and finished with a sentiment and glossy accents over the pieces of fruit! This was a clean and simple card but with a lot of color!
