Happy Hour,Whit-kit
Happy Saturday crafters! Echo here with some inspiration using the Happy Hour, Whit-kit. What a fabulous kit this month! I was so happy to get a stencil in this kit. I do not have a beach stencil and this one is perfect! Also the amount of sentiments in this kit! You get five sentiments! Whoa, that is so awesome! For sure a kit that will get reached for a bunch!
Here is a look at the whole kit if you haven’t seen it yet.
What’s inside the July’s Whit-kit?
Can you believe you get all that for only $42.99

How to use the beach stencil
I am going to show you step by step how I used this stencil.
Grab the beach stencil from this months Whit-kit and a white card panel.
I split the card panel in half diagonal and ink blended leaving a white space between. I decided to use regular distress ink for the sand because I like the texture it added. Inks used are distress oxide in broken china and regular distress ink in vintage photo.
Placed the stencil on the card panel where I wanted my water edge to be and ink blended with distress oxide salty ocean. Because my card panel goes a bit past the end of the stencil. I stayed away from the bottom edge. If not you will end up with a weird line going across the card panel.
I did the exact same thing with the sand. Ink blended using distress oxide in ground espresso. I mainly ink blended the edge with the darker ink to make it look like wet sand. While being mindful of the stencil edge.
And just like that you have a beach scene! So much can be done with this card panel now. I’m going to jump ahead and show you the next card I made.
Card Inspiration
I used the exact same technic with this card except after I was done with the stencil I added some sea foam using a snow marker. It was so much fun and I can’t believe how much it looks like sea foam. You apply the maker and use a heat tool and it puffs up.
I kept the card fairly simple because I didn’t want to cover up much of the pretty beach. I used the postage stamp (nesting die) and the cute little star fish embellishments that came in this months kit. Stamped and ink blended the sentiment. Okay back to the first card!
To complete this card I used two different heart die sets. Dashes and Frills Hearts as well as Stitched Up Hearts. I stamped the sentiment with some masking so I could get the sentiment half on the die cut heart and the other half in the water. Stamped, colored, and fussy cut drink. Added a fancy bow with an embellishment.
This is the last card that I made. I couldn’t resist using the awesome paper pack. Makes for an easy to put together card. I used the Make a Tag die set and Deckle & Stitches die set. Stamp drink image, color, and fussy cut. Die cut tag using some of the patterned paper and ink blended the edges. Added some twine and popped it up with some foam tape. Popped up the drink with foam tape as well. Added some star fish embellishments.
Have a great weekend. Thank you, for joining me today!
