Hi friends!
I normally love to color flowers, but occasionally I’ll see the cutest little critter and I just HAVE to color itfor a change! Today I have the perfect critter card to share, called Lil Bloomer! This is the most adorable mouse I’ve ever seen! I’ll also be using Country Lovin’ patterned paper, Copic markers and dye inks!
I stamped the adorable mouse using permanent black ink. I love to use permanent black ink because it won’t bleed when I use my alcohol markers. You can find permanent black ink just about anywhere!
Once I stamped the mouse, I colored him using Copic markers in C3, C5, C7, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR04, B32, B34, R29, and G16. The ground beneath him was colored in E15, E18, and E31. Next, I added a light brown dye ink beneath the brown alcohol marker to help the earth beneath his little feet look more natural. Then I added blue clouds behind the mouse with blue dye ink, a cloud stencil, and a mini blending brush. If you don’t have a cloud stencil, you can simply ink blend behind him in a shade of blue.
Once my image was fully colored, I trimmed him down and inked up the edges with a brown ink. Then I created a background using 2 pieces of patterned paper from Country Lovin’. I adhered the yellow piece to a black 5.5×4.25 card base. Next, I tore the floral piece in half at an angle, inked up the jagged edge with brown ink, and adhered that over the yellow piece. Then I inked around the entire edge and adhered my mouse over it. I finished with a sentiment and glossy accents over the flower stamin, his eyes, and his buttons!
I really enjoyed coloring this little guy! You can find all the products used for this card by clicking on the description, which will take you to the Unity Stamp Co. store. Thanks for stopping by!
