Hi crafty friends!
It’s Amber here and I am popping in super quick with a sweet card I created.
We have had an incredibly busy August already – filled with family, friends and many get-togethers, including not just one… but TWO weddings – including one that was a surprise!
Our brother-in-law tied the knot with his lovely lady after 13 years, and everyone was invited to their home for what they thought was her 50th birthday… but when they arrived….
Needless to say… the attendees were blown away….!
Only a small handful of guests were pre-warned and worked hard to help get ready for all the guests that were coming under false pretences. Thankfully we were warned, and I had time to create a card for the happy couple, even if I didn’t have time to work on a whole lot of process for this Blog post 😉
I decided to use one of Unity’s beautiful wedding stamps called A Day to Treasure and simply stamped it and heat embossed it on vellum. I added a wee bit of highlight coloring on the backside just on the groom’s jacket – that is it! The heat embossing added great shine, and I splattered some champagne paint a bit on the vellum and simply tore it to add to the other layers of patterned paper and Naturals white cardstock. That was IT!
No words needed… I didn’t add a sentiment, because there are so many great words I could say but sometimes you just want that image to shine through.
Now, coincidentally another wedding was taking place on the same day (my boss!) in another city far away. We had much more warning for that celebration and another card was created as well, so this stamp was a lifesaver this summer. It is uncomplicated and classy.
Here’s hoping the rest of your summer is filled with all the good things!
Peace, Love n’ Ink
