Hello Unity Friends, it is Natasha back for a new mixed media project! Today I am sharing an idea on how to create a mixed media project using 1 layer! So let’s get started!
For today’s project I started with a gelli print from my stash. I trimmed the die cut gelli print panel into 2 ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). I used a die in my stash to create the ATC. If you do not have a die, you can trim each ATC into 2.5 x 3.5. Next I stamped the floral from Troubles Be Few onto each panel using archival ink. Once the panel was dry, I added some left over deli paper and washi tape from my stash onto each ATC in the bottom left corner. I then added white gesso over the top and in a few other areas. I like to apply the gesso with my finger so it is not completely even and has some texture.
Once the gesso was completely dry, I then inked up the Troubles be few again with a dye ink and lightly spritzed it with water and randomly stamped across each ATC. I added this layer for added texture. Once the ink was dry, I added white wax around the bottom and right edge. I apply the wax with my finger. Next I added distress ink around the edges of the tag. I also added splatters to each background using Distress Spritz.
I completed each ATC with a cut apart sentiment strip, a piece of cardboard packing, and some crafty some type of material. I hope you enjoyed today’s post! I will see you soon!
