Hello, Gaylynn here. Hi friends. Today, I created this watercolor deer fun fold card using stamps and dies by Unity Stamp Co. I made a winter scene using stamping and then made the card base from an amazing die set.
The dies certainly made this fun fold greeting card a breeze to make.
Also, this is a look at the inside of this fun fold card.
Helpful tips:
In summary, to make this winter fun fold card for the holidays, begin by die-cutting or trimming the card base, the layer panels and a heart. I used two shades of teal color cardstock for the base. And, I made the two stamped panels from watercolor cardstock. Next, stamp the deer, sentiment, trees and snowflakes onto the smooth side of the watercolor paper panels. The smooth side is better for stamping but allows for nice watercolor. Then, using a paint brush, dab water over the top section of each panel. Also, dip the brush into teal watercolor paint and dab color into the panels over the water areas. If needed, add more water and color or smoosh in more color. Also, blot any puddles and then heat set the panels. Next, add a small square of velcro over the top panel and under the flap, lining them up, for temporary closure. Finally, adhere all of the layers inside and out with thin foam tape, to finish.
Take a look at both the outside and the inside of this card. The watercolor process was the same for both of the scene panels. It was fun to make.
Finally, see this quick video process below.
