Hi friends! We are just a couple of months away from the holidays! Are you getting a head start on your holiday cards? I sure am! Today’s holiday card features the October Background of the Month and the evergreen tree from October’s Kit of the Month!
This card was so easy to pull together! I stamped the Background of the Month onto a piece of white cardstock using black ink. If you look closely at it, you can see all the holiday greetings in a pretty font! And these stamps are red rubber, so you get a great impression every time! Then I added ink in shades of lime green and teal and splattered water over the ink to get those cool water marks!
Next, I focused on the evergreen from October’s Kit of the Month! I love that these kits have so many elements you can work with!
I stamped the evergreen in black ink and then used my Copic markers in YG67, YG17, and YG05 to create wisps over the branches. I used C7 and C5 beneath the tree. The end result was a full, green tree! Then I went over the balls on the tree with a red marker R29.
The last step was to add interest by creating layers on the card panel using black cardstock! All this required was 5 rectangle nesting dies, all in a row, and then die cutting each layer including the background panel! Then adhering them together. What resulted is this awesome layered card! I finished with a sentiment from the Kit of the Month.
