Hi friends! Today I want to share a “tweet” little card featuring the cute birdie from November’s Kit of the Month and some of Unity’s AMAZING patterned paper, called Jubilant Tapestry!
I chose 3 sheets of coordinating patterned paper from Jubilant Tapestry and created a background by adhering a 5.5×4.25 sized piece onto a card base, and then tearing the other 2 pieces and layering them over the base layer! You can see in the photo above how I did this – BUT, you can try any method of layering these papers because they are coordinated to work together!
Next, I colored the “tweet” bird (get it?) using shades similar to the patterned paper and then die cut him and another sheet of cardstock using scalloped tag dies. I ink blended the larger tag in a deep shade of brown and then inked around the bird in shades of mustard yellow. I adhered them together and added string.
The final step was to add a sentiment from the November kit that says, “A little hello to brighten your day!”. I love how the word “hello” is in a different font! I grunged up the sentiment by inking around the edges in dark brown ink and adhering it below the bird on the card base I had created earlier! I finished with glossy accents to his eyes and beak and white splatters over the entire card panel!
I’m so glad you joined me today! To shop the products used in this post, click on the description to be taken to the Unity store!
