Happy Friday! Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog today and it’s the weekend before Christmas and there’s soooooo much to do, but don’t be a grinch! Color one instead! Happy Friday! Today’s blog was inspired by Tammy Hawes’ who created two cards using one of the Pissy Kitty stamps by Unity Stamp Co. I thought it was the coolest thing and had to try it with that same line of stamps.
I pulled out the Merry Whatever stamp set and opted to do a clean and simple card. I stamped the image with Copic friendly ink and colored it with YG01, YG23, YG05. Keeping the image in Misti, I restamped the image using VersaFine Clair to make the lines of the image super bold.
I trimmed the card front to 4″ x 5.25″. On the top, I die cut the word MERRY using the new Layered Merry Christmas Die. I left the pieces in and used washi tape to support the pieces in place. Using the same die, I die cut MERRY in red metallic paper and layered it over the white pieces for a bit of dimension.
Then I stamped the Merry Whatever from the stamp set on black card stock using white pigment ink and used white embossing powder to create the bold sentiment. I die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Sentiment die and adhered it with foam tape.
Using a lime card base, I matted the image on black card stock (4.125″ x 5.375″) and glued to the card base. For a little extra, I added red Stickles to the hat and ornaments. The fun of the glitter definitely doesn’t make this pissy kitty happy, but it sure does look cute!
