Happy Monday! Andrea here with your splash of color to start your week. I’m playing with one of the new releases..Mortal Sparkle. Seriously isn’t she the cutest! I thought I’d share how I make the ruffles in her skirt using Copic markers. Let me know if you have any questions.
I start out with my darkest color and make a line of ink where the deepest fold in her skirt would be.
I then use the next darkest color to color over this line I made and also leave a transition of ink to show where it’s starting to lighten.
Using my third colour I am really starting to blend it all together. I colour over all areas to make my coloring merge.
I used my lightest color for the bottom layer of my skirt. What do you think? This is a fantastic image to work on your skills coloring ruffles.
Here are her skin and cheek colors. Don’t forget to blend blend blend.
I colored her hair using warm gray copic colours. You want to flick the color going along with the shapes in her hair.
These are the colors I used for the cake and candles. I matched them with the patterned paper I used from my stash using my paper trimmer and also Big Scallop and Rectangle dies. Here she is after adding glitter and gems. I LOVE this card and hope you do to!
