Hi friends!
Have you seen January’s Kit of the Month yet? It’s filled with loving and sweet designs along with sentiments just in time for Valentine’s Day or any day of the year! Today I’ll be using the older couple in the KOM along with 2 of the sentiments! I’ll also be using Gosh I Love You patterned paper!
First, I stamped the adorable older couple sitting on the bench with permanent black ink onto alcohol marker-friendly white paper. I colored them in shades of tan and red because I wanted them to coordinate with the patterned paper I planned to use behind them. When the coloring was finished, I tore the paper above and below the couple to create a natural jagged edge. Then I grabbed 2 sheets of patterned paper from Gosh I Love You and tore the ends of those as well. I love to use Unity’s patterned paper because of the detailed designs and the many ways they can be used on your cards! To shop their line of patterned papers, click here!
You can see the jagged edges that I created in the photo above. TIP: To add interest, you could ink up the jagged edges in black or dark brown or use gold paste along the edges. That draws the eye to it!
Finally, I layered all the pieces together and finished with 2 sentiments from the KOM. I also added glossy accents over the 2 hearts. I just love how this couple seems so content in each other’s arms – it reminds me of my husband and I (yes, we are that old!).
Did you know you can have a new stamp sent to your home each month by joining one or more of Unity’s memberships? You save money as well! To learn more, click here. To shop the items used in this post, click on the description to be taken to the Unity store.
