Hello and welcome to the Unity blog. It’s Gaylynn. Today, I am sharing a different way to use your nesting dies in die-cut angles. For this technique, try positioning your layering dies at an angle or offset them for interesting card looks. The focal point on this card is the pet bearded dragon lizard named Bruce. Also, the steps and supplies are noted below.
Bruce lives at Unity Stamp Company and is well-loved. This stamp was named after him.
Helpful tips:
-
Prepare an A2 sized card base in white cardstock, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded.
-
Stamp the lizard onto white cardstock and color with your favorite medium. I used Copic markers.
-
Die-cut the lizard panel as a square but offset the die for an angled diamond shape, approximately 3″ x 3″.
-
Die-cut a piece of patterned paper as a square shape, approximately 3″ x 3″.
-
On white cardstock stamp and trim the what’s up sentiment and then die-cut the word hello in black.
-
Onto the white card base, position and adhere the patterned paper square as it is onto the center of the card base.
-
Over the patterned paper, position and adhere the lizard for an angled diamond shape.
-
Adhere the hello sentiment near the top left of the card.
-
Adhere the what’s up sentiment near the bottom right of the card.
Additionally, this is another look at this cute angled bearded dragon lizard card with square die-cut angles.
Finally, here is another view of this card.
