Hello and welcome to the Unity blog. It’s Gaylynn. Today, I am sharing a greeting with the theme of a mother’s love for this mandala card. Loving greetings like this are great for Mother’s Day, birthday or any time of the year for Mom. I used the colors of teal and salmon for the large mandala. This Unity Stamp Co. stamp set is from the March 2025 Background of the Month. The steps and supplies are noted below.
This large mandala can be made for almost any occasion by switching out the sentiment.
Sentiment:
A mother’s love is felt in every moment.
Helpful Tips:
-
Prepare an A2 sized card base in white cardstock, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded.
-
Die-cut a white card front panel 4″ x 5 1/4″ using Scallops & Rectangles nesting dies.
-
Stamp the sentiment on white and then die-cut it using Scallops & Arches nesting dies.
-
Stamp the mandala onto another piece of white cardstock using black ink compatible with your markers.
-
Add color to the mandala using your favorite markers.
-
Fussy cut (cut out) the colored mandala.
-
Position the finished mandala temporarily over the die-cut card front panel and make a note of where to stamp the hearts.
-
Remove the mandala until later.
-
Stamp two sets of tiny hearts from Heart To Heart on each side of the mandala, leaving space for the large mandala.
-
Center then adhere the die-cut sentiment near the bottom of the card front.
-
Center then adhere the mandala near the top of the card front panel between the tiny hearts.
-
Adhere the card front onto the card base using flat double-sided tape.
Here is the first half of the project.
More of the card process is below.
Finally, take a closer look at the finished greeting card.
