Hi friends!
Today I’m sharing a card using one of my favorite items in March’s Kit of the Month, flowers!!! I get giddy when I see flowers, and I try to find unique ways to use them! Hopefully you will be able to walk away with a new idea today!
This bouquet of flowers is very full and detailed, making it so very easy to color! I stamped the image onto a piece of white cardstock using black ink. Then I grabbed my Copic markers in yellow and pink and colored the flowers. The leaves were touched with a medium shade of green. Next, I inked around the flowers in a grass green color of die ink. I thought that really helped the color of the flowers to stand out!
Next, I tore above and below the flowers with my hands to create a jagged edge. Then I inked up all the edges with a brown ink. I also tore a piece of patterned paper from Vintage Whispers paper pad, making it slightly larger than the floral card panel. Then I inked up the jagged edges of that paper and adhered it behind my floral card panel. Finally, I die cut a checkered pattern from Barnyard Bouquet using the Deckled Nesting dies, inked up the edges with the same brown ink, and adhered all the layers over a 5.5×4.25 white card base. You can see the details in the photo above!
The last step to finish the card was to add a sentiment from the Kit of the Month, inked up in the same way as the other layers, and a pretty crinkle ribbon to the upper left corner (you can find this ribbon here)!
