Hello. I’m Gaylynn and I am excited to share this card project here on the Unity blog. Today, I am sharing a watercolor flowers spotlight frame card using rectangle cuts and floral stamping. This card has dimensional layers and a heartfelt sentiment for sympathy or support occasions.
I used Unity Stamp Co. red rubber stamps and nesting dies for this card. The project supplies are below.
Helpful Tips:
-
Onto the smooth side of watercolor cardstock, stamp the flowers using waterproof ink.
-
Stamp the sentiments on another white piece of cardstock.
-
Trim or die-cut the floral panel using large and small rectangle nesting dies, a bit smaller than the card base.
-
Trim or die-cut the sentiment. I used banners or flag dies.
-
Trim or die-cut an A2-sized light gray cardstock panel for a card background.
-
Add watercolor to the smallest rectangle panel, splatter then dry completely. I used liquid watercolor brush pens.
-
Adhere the gray panel over the card base.
-
Adhere the largest frame cut over the gray layer, leaving the center open.
-
Over the center, adhere the watercolor small rectangle using foam tape for dimension.
-
Adhere the sentiment over the card front, to finish.
Here are more photos of this card.
Also, here is another one a bit closer.
