Hi friends!
Welcome to Membership Thursday! Today’s card is fun and playful! I’ll be incorporating several design elements from April’s Kit of the Month along with Barnyard Blowout paper pad, alcohol markers, and a cloud stencil! I love to show you how to get the most from your kit by using as many elements together as possible!
As soon as I saw the cute farm animals, the large flower, and the fence, I knew how I wanted this card to take shape!
First step was to build the background. I stamped the Poppy flowers onto a piece of white 5.5×4.25 cardstock using black ink and colored the flowers. Next, using a cloud stencil, I created clouds with a light blue ink around the flowers. Then I added a grassy terrain using a die and green ink. I trimmed the card panel to 5×4.25, adhered the terrain die, and placed the panel onto a piece of gingham paper from Barnyard Blowout! The red in the gingham pattern helped the red in the poppies to stand out!
Once my background was finished, I stamped the fence, cow, and pig, colored them, and fussy cut them. Then I started to build my scene. I added the fence in front of the poppies and terrain, so it appeared that the flowers were hidden behind the fence. Then I tucked the pig into the terrain just above the fence, and the cow was propped up on foam tape right in front of the fence. You can see the details of the scene in the photo below!
Last step was to add the sentiment from April’s Kit of the Month as well as glossy accents here and there for added shine. I love how this cute card turned out! Today’s card uses a lot of the images from the kit of the month, showing you how versatile these kits are when used together!
