Hi there. I’m Gaylynn and I am happy to be sharing my card project here on the Unity blog. This is a welcome baby watercolor card for new Moms, new Dads or for a baby shower. This one incorporates the sweetest Unity stamp, Lil’ Jumbo. See the details and supplies below.
The card front was made using tag dies plus elephant stamping before the watercolor process.
Sentiment: Welcome little one.
Helpful Tips:
-
Prepare a white A2-sized card base, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, horizontally folded.
-
Onto the smooth side of watercolor cardstock, stamp the elephant and the sentiment horizontally using waterproof ink.
-
Add your favorite watercolor on the background and the elephant stamping.
-
Heat set or dry completely.
-
Die-cut a large kraft color tag shape for a frame layer.
-
Die-cut the elephant panel using a smaller tag die.
-
Hole punch the tag on the small end and adhere the reinforcer tab with twine.
-
Adhere the kraft layer to the card base using flat double-sided tape.
-
Adhere the elephant panel using extra tacky tape over the kraft layer.
-
Add a heart embellishment or a patterned paper die cut over the sentiment.
