Hello and welcome. I’m Gaylynn and I am delighted to share a dimensional framed cat thank you card. I used Copic markers for color, rubber stamping, die-cutting and patterned paper. I chose soft colors and sentiment labels for accents.
This little cutie is from the Unity Rescue Tales Collection.
Sentiment:
Thanks. You make ordinary days feel so very special.
Here are more details for the making of this framed cat thank you card.
Helpful Tips:
-
Prepare a white A2 sized card base, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded.
-
Onto smooth white cardstock, stamp the cat using ink suitable for your markers of choice.
-
Color the cat. I used Copic markers, but use what you have.
-
Die-cut the cat panel into a rectangle shape approximately 4″ x 5 1/4″.
-
Onto smooth white cardstock, stamp the sentiment in black, then die-cut it into a heart shape.
-
Die-cut a “thanks” word in gold cardstock.
-
Make a frame out from patterned paper. Die-cut a patterned paper panel using the largest and medium-sized rectangle dies, to coordinate with the size of the stamped panel. Be sure that the cat shows through the inner die-cut frame window.
-
Add thin double-sided foam tape to the back of the frame and the heart panels.
-
Adhere the frame layer over the cat layer, then adhere that panel to the card front.
-
Add the thanks and the heart-shaped sentiments over the card front with optional heart embellishments.
Here is another look at the finished card.
