May 2025 Kit Of The Month Mice Friendship Card

May 7, 2025 - by Gaylynn

May 2025 Kit Of The Month Mice Friendship Card

Hello and welcome.  I’m Gaylynn, and I’m happy to share another card project here on the Unity blog. This is a peek at the May 2025 Kit Of The Month featuring a sweet mice-themed friendship card.

For this friend card, I added Copic marker coloring, ink blending and dry embossing accents.

Sentiment:  Every story needs a friend like you.

Helpful Tips:

  1. Prepare a white A2 sized card base, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded.
  2. Onto smooth white cardstock, stamp the mice scene using ink suitable for your markers of choice.
  3. Onto smooth white cardstock, stamp the sentiment in black.
  4. Die-cut or hand trim the sentiment into a cloud shape.
  5. Optional: Add a second cloud shape for a layered accent.
  6. Die-cut a mint cardstock panel using the largest of the deckle & stitches nesting dies.
  7. Position the mice near the bottom of a medium rectangular die before cutting.
  8. Die-cut the mice panel from the largest deckle & stitches nesting die.
  9. Optional: Dry emboss the mint panel.
  10. Color the mice and the flower using your favorite markers.
  11. Add light mint ink blending to the sky.
  12. Adhere the mint layer, the mice layer and the cloud sentiment to the card front using flat or foam double-sided adhesive.

This is the first step in the making of this card.

And, this is the last set of steps for this project.

Finally, here is a closer look at this sweet greeting.
