Hello friends, Lisa here with a quick card to inspire you to get inky with your May 2025 Whit Kit Card Kit. This card is one of the two fabulous projects featured in the May 2025 Whit Kit Membership Insert! Each month, Unity members receive a full-color inspiration sheet with two amazing card ideas and simple instructions—perfect for jumping right into creative joy.

This cheerful birthday card is a treat for the eyes, with its frosted cupcake centerpiece, vibrant patterned background, and heartfelt sentiment. The “Cupcake Wishes” design from the Make a Wish Whit Kit combines fun stamping with a sweet pop of color, thanks to playful Copic coloring and pink ink blending. The scalloped frame adds a soft, whimsical touch, while enamel hearts and sparkly glitter give this card that extra-special finish. It’s a joyful celebration on paper—perfect for making someone’s birthday feel extra loved!

Assembly Instructions

1. Create an A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″) card base with white cardstock and cover with WK pattern paper.
2. Stamp the WK sentiment in dark pink ink above the cupcake in black ink on white cardstock. Die cut with a stitched rectangle. Ink blend around the cupcake with light pink ink.
3. Stamp a second cupcake and color with markers. Copic colors: R81, R83, R85; Y13, Y15; BG01, BG05, BG07.
4. Fussy cut the colored cupcake and pop it up over the ink-blended cupcake with foam tape.
5. Die cut a scallop rectangle from pink cardstock and adhere to the card front.
6. Pop up the cupcake panel in the center with foam tape.
7. Embellish with enamel hearts or dots.
8. Add pink glitter glue to the cupcake frosting and let dry.

Bonus Card

Want to mix things up? Try creating a second birthday card using the same Make a Wish Whit Kit elements but with a new twist—switch out the patterned paper for a different balloon design, rearrange the layout, and feature the adorable balloon stamp instead of the cupcake!
